Description
“This was the piece that first gave me the idea for The Anton Gerner Exhibition. Working without drawings (like all of the pieces in this exhibition) I started on this cabinet one Saturday in 2011. I sliced up some very special Fiddleback Blackwood and decided to contrast this with Huon Pine for the drawer fronts and doors.
“But what would I do with the piece I had started to make? There was nowhere to exhibit it. I then had an idea. I would create my own exhibition.
“Little did I know that I would then spend every spare minute of the next eight years creating all of the pieces for The Anton Gerner Exhibition.”
